About: NWT is the most temperate of the Territories of Canada, compared to Nunavut and the Yukon which both have much harsher climates, but it is still considered a subarctic climate and polar in the north-most regions. They boast Canada’s largest lake, Great Bear Lake; the deepest, Great Slave Lake; and the Nahanni National Park Reserve, whose canyons are a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site.
