unFAIR
unFAIR (2010)

Based on principles of strategic and penetrated marketing, the ‘unFAIR’ concept is exactly what a typical student recruiting fair is NOT. A recruiting fair involves drawing students or ‘souvenir hunters’ to an expensive banquet room in a luxury hotel, at times creating a ‘busy’ feeling. Having organized such fairs for a number of years and after listening to our clients, we created the “unFAIR” concept which is far more penetrative & targeted in terms of providing specific recruiting solutions. “unFAIR” reverses the traditional recruiting fair and instead empowers the recruiters to visit strategically selected high schools & junior colleges to interact and engage directly with students, meet guidance counsellors and possibly parents of students in a relaxed ‘town hall style’ environment to discuss career goals & how to get there. unFAIR 2010 was a stunning success and we visited 17 high schools in 5 days across key, education-centric cities in India.

Fall Asia Middle East (2007)

This gruelling event took a lot out of the delegates who rolled with the punches and although components of the tour were optional, there were some die hard recruiters that traveled with us for the entire tour and were exhausted by the end. The packed schedule covered 17 cities in 7 different countries over 6 weeks, but it was rewarding for recruiters who picked up tons of applications along the way in different cities and countries, many of which must have graduated from North American Colleges and Universities by now.

Fall Asia Middle East (2006)

Attended by thousands of students over 3 weeks in India and UAE, this was a rough event conducted against the backdrop of political uncertainty as well as US and Canadian Universities facing a decline in enrolment figures, particularly from the Middle East. However, the recruiters were rather effective and stayed the course and emerged with several applicants, many of whom have already commenced their studies in North America.

Spring Asia Middle East (2006)

Our ‘smallest delegation’ to date, we experimented with strategic high school visits rather than highly publicized (and expensive) fairs and the returns were actually rather encouraging. We met students in their familiar environments within their high schools or colleges who were quite forthcoming about their North American educational plans. We had follow-up sessions with their parents in less formal surroundings in hotel lobbies and at town hall styled information sessions and were able to actively engage interested students. We received very positive feedback from students, parents and this event was equally well received by recruiters too.

Fall Asia Middle East (2005)

Our ‘largest delegation’ to date visited several Indian education centers and some brave ones also took on the Middle East. We had a very diverse group of seasoned recruiters and by the end of the tour we were one big happy family. We saw over 3,000 students in India in addition to over 1,000 in Dubai & Abu Dhabi. As absurd as it sounds, the larger the group, the easier it became to manage and coordinate complex logistics for the highly successful event.

India Spring Expo (2005)

With the Rotary club assisting in logistical coordination, this event was smooth and seamless in precision from an event management perspective as well as from an Institutions perspective. Several top institutions travelled with ICE and the results were not only encouraging, but also gratifying that interest in studying in renowned North American Universities is stronger than ever.
